Founder/Editor-in-Chief - Radio Free Chicago
Inspired by the music blogs that were cropping up out of New York at the time, in 2004 I opened up a Blogger account and created a site dedicated to covering the Chicago live music scene. The site would become a full-time labor of love for the next 5 years.

Music Writer - Newcity
During my tenure, I had the opportunity to interview an amazing array of artists, ranging from hip-hop legend Afrika Bambaataa to UK grime star Dizzee Rascall to filmmaker (and avant-guard musician) Vincent Gallo.

Chicago News/Events Editor - Danoo
In 2008, I picked up a gig producing daily news and entertainment blurbs for the national digital out-of-home media service known as "Danoo." Unfortunately, the company dropped its hyperlocal content directive at the end of 2009 and I was replaced by an automated feed from the NY Times.

As a part of a final project in grad school, I created a blog touting the virtues of environmentally sustainable living called "Urban Simplicity." My other areas of writing expertise include media, design, technology and culture.
